Below you will find the preliminary itinerary :

First Impressions
9:30-10:00 – Ice Breaker
10:00-11:00 – Building a Solid Resume
• Format
• Content
• Peer and mentor editing

Students will come to the workshop with their resumes and discuss correct formatting and content in a small group setting and make changes to their current resumes. Students will leave with an edited, presentable version of their resume.

11:00-12:00
Rules of Engagement
• Interacting with professionals in an appropriate way- sample networking questions?
• Conquering fears and building relationships
• Cleaning up your social media accounts – why this is important

12:00-1:00
Putting Yourself Out There
Mock Networking Lunch
• Volunteers from various industries will rotate from table to table and speak to students and answer questions about their specific career, their path, and advice.
• Students should gather at least 2 business cards from prospective networking connections for follow-up workshop

Make it Happen
Follow-Thru and Thank You Note Etiquette
• How to follow-up
• Send a thank you note to someone who you just met at networking lunch
